SUMMARY

How – FAX Who MOSH.  Find Mosh at www.mosh.fun. Mosh gives clue to number to contact him on.

THE SONG

"In the name of Max Fosh, dish out the fish", is all you have to spout

Exactly who to ask and how, just use my vid to find out, to claim the precious trout

Neighbour on the bus, or a dear old queen, with possibility the world is packed

But the keeper of the secret is not close to Max, and that's beyond a fact

Dance in a crazy way, use a squeaky voice, post on Tik-Tok videos?

No need to spam or guess or stir up things, just copy what this silly song shows

(note that the "silly song"/"song silly" was left out of the published video)

SONG EXPLANATION

 Only 3 key elements:

  • The name Max Fosh
  • The fact that you need to find out who to contact and how
  • Spoonerisms (swapping the first letters of things around)

So Max Fosh becomes Fax Mosh

"In the name of Max Fosh" - so the name max fosh is important

Spout is just a way of saying that you have to say something

Trout is just a silly word for fish that rhymes

"dear old queen” is one of the most well known Spoonerisms - he said "queer old dean"

Shuffled words around in a spoonerism style - the world is packed with possibility, song silly, just do, do just

“More than a fact” = “facts” (FAX), “dance in a crazy way” (MOSH)

stir up things - spoon - Spooner made a mess of the language

"Copy" - fax is called fax because it's short for facsimile  - copy

So…. you have to fax someone called mosh, but how?

      FINDING MOSH

Mosh has a website. You could have found it using just Mosh, Silly, and Max as key words, but it was always expected that you would need a hint.

      MOSH'S WEBSITE

Chose mosh.fun because we are looking for Mosh, and well - it's fun

The "facts" and the dancing thing ("mosh") are just confirming the fax mosh

Silly Tothe Max are included in there

Star sign pisces - fish (chose that particular gif because it reinforces the ring "o" as in fish with an O)

Spoons - spoonerism brought people here

Old school way of doing things is just suggesting that an older form of communication is necessary

"if you send anything to me, you must also send details about how to contact you"

The clue to the fax number wasn’t revealed right away, a ticking clock and a mouse making a “shhhhh” movement were clues that you needed to be patient, and keep it to yourself.

HINT ABOUT WHO TO ASK AND HOW

      Song silly - melpful histake

ANOTHER HINT ABOUT WHO TO ASK AND HOW, AND WHERE TO FIND MOSH

Foint Pun.  Yet another spoonerism, point fun - .fun - so the website is mosh.fun

      THE NUMBER

This could be discovered using the final clue:

Down where the "precious trout" glides, in the song lady's state?

first Understand this to claim the fish: mfdffdfo<8

"Down" and "Understand" are capitalised - "Down Under" - Australia

Song lady's state - Queen is the lady in the song, Queensland

"Gold Coast" is where you might expect a goldfish (or gold fosh!) to swim, "glide" is a confirmer

("glide" and "coast" mean the same thing)

"First" is a hint that you are looking for the first of something - in this case the first letter

of the claim phrase "in the name of max fosh dish"... so converting those initial letters to numbers gives the rest of the fax number.

      ACCEPTING CLAIMS

Claims had to include contact details

Claims had to give the phrase “In the name of Max Fosh dish out the fish”
